Front Line Leader for the Corrugated department responsible for supervising, directing, and leading one assigned shift of hourly employees in safety, quality, waste reduction, and productivity and managing employee engagement. This position reports to the Plant Superintendent.
Safety responsibilities include implementing and coordinating departmental safety processes and training to ensure a safe work environment, investigating accidents, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Corrugator Supervisor is also accountable for identifying mechanical problems and coordinating necessary maintenance activities on the corrugator, providing accurate and timely production reporting, and communicating with prior and next shift supervisors on a daily basis. The front line leader will also be held responsible for participating in the selection of new employees, developing employees through training and conducting performance evaluations, coaching employees to accomplish team goals, ensuring open communication among all employees, and providing leadership for regular team meetings and facilitating proactive problem-solving processes.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, but a high school diploma or GED is required. At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred, but not required.
