The Job You Will Perform:

The Maintenance First Line Leader provides the first level of exempt salaried supervision of hourly electrical and instrumentation personnel and includes responsibility for planning and scheduling maintenance work on equipment in the Power/ Recovery area. The First Line Leader is responsible for the instrumentation/electrical maintenance on equipment, auxiliaries and support equipment/systems. The Maintenance FLL reports to the Area Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Planner, under the direction of the Area Maintenance Manager, supports the Maintenance FLL. The major lateral relationships are as follows:

  • Operations Maintenance Coordinator—Primary contact concerning the prioritization & execution of Work Orders that have been planned & scheduled and for break-in or emergency work. The Maintenance FLL keeps the OMC fully informed of job status.

  • Stores & Purchasing-- Orders and receives additional materials and spare parts that were not determined before the job started. Returns surplus materials to Stores and/or disposes of as waste. Recommends spare parts and inventory control levels for maintenance and repair materials.

  • Maintenance Planner—Advises in the planning and estimating of new work orders in terms of the best labor distribution, material needs, and special equipment needs. Insures proper spares for critical and noncritical equipment.

  • Reliability Engineering-- Consults regarding repetitive and/or high cost maintenance problems, and the needs of the Preventive, Predictive, and Lubrication & Precision Maintenance Programs.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Candidate must have:

  • Strong Safety Leadership skills

  • Knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance management and operations

  • Preferably 3-5 years experience in the industrial maintenance area with strong skill set in Instrumentation, electrical systems and power distribution.

  • Formal technical education preferred to include Associates Degree or some college work in the technical electrical/instrumentation field.

  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written

  • Ability to work in team environment

  • Strong computer skills with preferred knowledge of SAP
