Specifically within the ADS Omega Development team, the successful candidate for the position will have the opportunity to work with over 20 other talented team developers and multiple Business Analysts (BA’s) on the Omega Modernization project. “Omega” is the name of International Paper’s proprietary execution system running at 27 primary production facilities worldwide. This system models the execution of production, warehousing, and shipping transactions, and integrates heavily with the SAP ERP & other mill systems. Omega is being modernized to a web platform using the .NET framework over a multi-year period. This position offers significant opportunities to utilize modern development tools, approaches, and practices in a pseudo-agile, team-oriented, and fast paced development environment.
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
Prepares detailed specifications for program development.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.
Is Responsible for projects that include multiple steps and are longer in duration.
Is competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities, but may require instruction and guidance in other phases.
Offers rotational Tier 1 support.

Technical expert in one or more highly specialized areas of applications systems analysis and programming.

May lead others and be responsible for instructing, directing and checking the work of other analysts.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
8 years of Web development experience using .NET technology
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Project management skills
Ability to function in a constantly changing environment
As a member of the ADS Omega Development team, the applications development analyst is expected to:
Be self-directed, and collaborate with other team members on technical issues and application design.
Continually improve technical skills and be knowledgeable of cutting edge technology and what others are doing in the field.
Manage the scrum planning & execution activities of a scrum team of 2-4 developers.

From a technical perspective, the application development analyst is a full stack developer, able to navigate a multi-tiered architecture, and is expected to:
Understand how to create web-based applications following team-defined technical architecture, principles, and development standards of:
Domain Driven Design
Test Driven Development
GhostDoc & Swashbuckle/Swagger Documentation Frameworks
Be skilled in the scrum methodology and be responsible for their team’s goals, sprint planning, execution, burn-down, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Analyze business requirements from the BA’s, create PBI’s, and define development tasks for their team
Be able to effectively handle functional and technical ambiguity and get answers when needed.
At a minimum possess experience of:
5+ years general web design and development
5+ years UI/UX design and development
5+ years API development
5+ years scripting language such as Angular Material
3+ years with TFS and Azure VSTS/DevOps Scrum ALM
Preferably possess experience with:
unit testing with one or more testing frameworks such as xUnit for 1+ years
International Paper SCOM systems such as Web-based Omega for 6+ months
