We are in search of an experienced leader with a strong financial and business acumen, an aptitude for technology, and the vision to see how a digital transformation will greatly benefit International Paper and Finance. The successful candidate should excel in navigating change management, have credibility within and outside the Finance community, and demonstrate a willingness to take calculated risks, learn from failures, and drive towards optimal solutions. Adaptability and persistence are key attributes for this role. The selected individual will be tasked with overseeing a team of Financial Technologists (including Analytics Developers and Data Products Analysts) who provide essential support to our various Finance departments.
The Job You Will Perform:
Explore, validate, and then analyze data across multiple data sources with a strong focus on data integrity.
Work with internal and external customers to provide analytic reporting to support the review of data products.
Develop audit solutions and analytic tools to streamline audit testing of the data product.
Create repeatable data analytics to support continuous monitoring programs.
Participate in the determination of project scope, requirements, and anticipated data sources.
Evaluate and communicate project results to report recipients and discuss opportunities for additional testing.
Responsible for managing the lifecycle of Data Products.
Deep business knowledge combined with an understanding of technical capabilities to drive successful data products.
Responsible for ensuring continued usage and feature prioritization based on customer feedback and usage.
The Skills You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business/Data Analytics, or Information Systems is required.
Master’s in Business/Data Analytics or Business Administration is preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience required.
Experience within the Finance function including a mixture of business and staff group experience preferred.
Strong project management skills, experience leading teams, and working with various stakeholders on business and process improvement.
