Experienced Power Boiler and Turbine Generator Technician

Description:

International Paper, a major pulp and paper producer, is seeking its next generation of top power boiler operators. Our Flint River Mill is looking to bring on hourly production workers to work full time in a High Performance Work System (HPWS). Technologically advanced operations, leading edge training, outstanding benefits and employment with a community leader awaits you. Rate of pay will be based upon experience level.

BENEFITS:

Starting rate > $30/hour depending upon experience, typical average wages greater than $85K/year.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•Minimum high school graduate, GED or equivalent work experience.

•Five years’ experience or more operating power boilers;preferably in the Pulp and Paper industry.

•Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, work effectively as a member of a team, drive for results, analyze complex problems and situational leadership.

•Safety leadership and demonstrated knowledge of industrial safety processes (lock outs, line breaks, confined space, etc.) preferred .

•Must be:

◦At least 18 years of age

◦Eligible for employment in the U.S.

•Must be willing to meet the following requirements:

◦Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment

◦Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment

◦Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule

◦Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification

◦Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

◦Wear required safety equipment

◦Operate or work in industrial conditions: warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)
