The Production Scheduler at International Paper’s Port Wentworth mill will be responsible for a wide range of duties within the PS&D department. The role provides warehouse support directly to the Machine Business Unit Manager and a dotted line to the PS&D Manager to monitor all warehouse activities. The individual will be responsible for managing the warehouse, inventory and supporting the shift teams.
Provide transportation and scheduling leadership for the safe and efficient operation of the Fluff organization.
Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to ensure the Fluff team goals are met.
Coordinate daily production scheduling and transportation needs of the Port Wentworth Mill.
Work closely with the representatives of the Center for Transportation Excellence, Supply Planning, Fluff Business as well as third party transportation providers to ensure customer orders are shipped on time.
Maintain and monitor the Key Performance Indicator trends for steamship lines.
Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to ensure the correct equipment is available in the container pool when needed.
Manage in a goal-oriented environment to deliver target results in the areas of safety, reliability, cost, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
Assist PS&D Area manager with improvement in PS&D performance and quality systems.
Daily management of Drey carrier, Spotting Service and Rail Switching.
At least 5 years in a manufacturing facility
High school diploma or GED required
Associates degree in Logistics or related fields preferred
Warehouse experience preferred
Proficient with S2000, PTS, PPR, SAP
