Department Learning Leader -Utilities

Pay Rate:

$75, 800- $101, 000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

Rome Mill is seeking Department Learning Leader, Utilities, responsible for the managing and coordinating the training and certification processes of an entire operating area. As needed the Department Learning Leader (DLL) will support the Utilities staff in day-to-day operations. The DLL reports to the Business Unit Manager, Utilities with a dotted line to the Mill Learning Leader.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assure safety awareness, safe work and compliance with safety rules and policies in all work performed by Crew.

  • Provides assistance and technical advice necessary to assist in the operations process.

  • Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee development and labor relations.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with Plant Rules, SOPs and Corporate Policies and Requirements.

  • Communicate mill and department performance levels and standards to Operators.

  • Assist in the development of department training goals

  • Maintain department training scorecard

  • Champion department training vision and process

  • Coach team members in training, trainers, and subject matter experts (SME)

  • Manage and maintain the department training program

  • Create and manage training records

  • Develop and maintain training material

  • Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new hires

Qualifications include:

Experience:

  • Training & Development Program Coordination experience is required.

Education:

  • High School Diploma required, post secondary degree preferred.
