Position: Maintenance A1 Mechanic – Streetsboro, Ohio

Primary duties include providing safe and timely mechanical support, preventative maintenance, lubrication, repair, mechanical troubleshooting and resolution of basic operational issues of machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience; a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics; and be able to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic components which affect mechanics in an effort to determine the equipment malfunction and restore to operation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience

  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including; motors, servos, pumps, relay, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electrical controls and power transmission systems.

  • Ability to use a laptop to analyze and troubleshoot, and understands basic PLC & VFD programming.

  • Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings, blue prints and schematics.

  • Ability to climb overhead structures; work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.

  • Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.

  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.

  • Responsible for proper waste disposal.

  • Receptive to training and performs other duties as required.

  • Ability to work various shifts/overtime/days per week.

Pay starts at $29.04/hour and is increased based on qualifications, plus shift differential. Shift placement will be either 2nd or 3rd shift and based upon plant needs.
